Cultural Foods

Although on this site we support being multiracial, a big part of being a multiracial teen (at least for me) is experiencing other cultures, whether they're a part of me or not. Remember, if you try a food 12 times, you will like it!

Korean Barbecue

Go. Just go. All foods offered at Korean barbecue are amazing! For all you food critics, you can cook it yourself... for all you with taste buds, I can't even talk about this. AMAZING! There are many places around Toronto (google search it yourself.) so take advantage and GO!

Fairly Reasonable

Goat Roti

Although it may not be a big meal, this is definitely filling, so don't eat anything else! This Trinidadian meal tastes better than it looks.

Cheap

Jerk chicken, Fried plantain & Rice

EAT THIS!! There are peas and stuff in the rice, and there's plantain, so I guess it's healthy... Anyways, enjoy this amazing Caribbean food :D

Cheap

Mango Chutney

Basically the Sri Lankan/ Indian version of Ketchup. Only better. There are many flavours of chutney, but mango is a personal fave.

Kimchi

One word: Heaven. This popular Korean dish contains fermented cabbage and may take some getting used to before you love it. It can be found in many other Korean dishes.

Cha siu bao (Barbecue Pork Bun)

I prefer them steamed, but baked is also an option. They are basically Cantonese buns filled with barbecued pork. #lovethem They can be found at some bakeries and really any Chinese-Cantonese restaurant.
